How did we get here?
It all started in 2021, with a hankering for a cocktail that looked as good as it tasted. Our founder Maddie set out to make a mocktail during her at-home happy hour that transported her from her lounge to sipping a sour in Sifnos. But without the right garnish, it just didn't feel the same. So she purchased a small dehydrator and started making her own. According to her DMs, she wasn't the only one wanting to dress up her drinks. Sensing the demand, a few weeks later, I AM THIRSTY was born.
One thing led to another.
A few months later, the inbox was flooded with feedback. Everyone was buying the garnish jars and snacking on the lot before happy hour even arrived. Honestly, we were guilty of doing the same. So we thought about it, and couldn't see a single reason why we couldn't put that exact same fruit into a pouch. 100% fruit, 100% natural, no additives, no preservatives, still entirely Australian. It was a no brainer.
Straight to the farm.
Since day one, we've worked directly with Australian farmers to source all of our fruit. We've always maintained that every dinner party needs some Thirsty fruit in attendance. What it lacks in travel stories, it more than makes up for in elevating the overall experience. We work closely with our farmers to ensure only the most delicious fruit makes it from the paddock to the pouch, we don't even mind if it's ugly!
But why do we do it this way?
Our mission is to provide everyday Australians with accessible snacks that are nutritious and free from additives we can't even pronounce. When we look at the shelves, it's hard to find another snack brand with only one ingredient listed. So it matters that we stay consistent. Whether you're grabbing something for the road, trying to hold the kids off until dinner, or reaching for a natural pick-me-up when the afternoon crash hits, we want you to know there's always a snack that has your best interests at heart.
